I founded Electrica Content Services in October 2010. The community college where I’d been teaching no longer had any classes for me, so I decided to go into business for myself. Now Electrica offers a full range of content creation, copywriting, and social media services geared to small business and independent artists.

I’d begun my professional career as a communications assistant for the Downtown Detroit Partnership, writing for and editing the organization’s print publications. After that, I worked as a staff writer and editor for Mi Gente magazine, a monthly magazine covering southeastern Michigan’s Hispanic communities, and interned as a copy editor.

Since founding Electrica, I’ve produced content and copy for a wide variety of clients, from a trekking company to a creative incubator, a furniture maker to a feminist arts collective.
